All programs installed? OK! Don't forget, to launch the programs you double click the shortcut icon (the one with a small tick on it) NOT the installation icon.
Launch Icons -  
It's recommended you read the program tutorials.
When updating you MUST be connected to the Internet.
If you connect using a 56Kb modem you can download all the updates first, then disconnect and run the checks. You MUST be online to get updates but NOT to run the checks.
The first update download may take a while but there-after your weekly updates (if any available) should be small files and therefore download quickly.

 Lava Soft Ad-Aware. (Protector and cleaner)
- Double click icon to launch program
- Click 'Check for updates now' (above START, bottom right)
- Click 'connect', download updates and click OK
- Click 'Start'
- Make sure 'Smart scan box' is checked.
- Click 'Next' and run scan.
- Critical objects will be found, when scan finished click next
- Check boxes of found objects (this must be done manually).
- Click OK, the beasties will be removed.
 Spyware Blaster. (Protector)
- Double click icon to launch program
- Click 'Download latest updates' (Centre bottom window)
- Click 'Check for updates'
- Updates will load (if any found)
- Click 'protection' (top left)
- Click 'Enable all Protection'(Centre bottom window)
- If any items show 'Protection disabled' Click corresponding TOP button
- Find unprotected items, check box and click 'Protect against checked items'
- That's it - Your computer 'should' be clean - KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!
